Disney ABC Television Group “Nightline” Production Internship, ABC News – Spring 2019 in New York, New York

Nightline is a part of the award-winning ABC News team. It airs Monday-Friday at 12:35am. The 30-minute broadcast brings viewers inside stories ranging from breaking news to feature stories. Nightline interns will be exposed to the inner-workings of a network broadcast--from pitching stories to seeing the final product on the air. You will experience life in a national newsroom.

Responsibilities : A day in the life…

•Assisting with daily logging elements

•Going on shoots

•Assisting with administrative duties within the office

•Exposure to all aspects of story development and production

•Participating in editorial meetings

Basic Qualifications :

What you bring to the role…

•An interest in editorial content development

•Ability to work efficiently in a team/group setting

•Ability to work well under pressure

•A knowledge and interest in current events

Preferred Qualifications :

•Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year

•Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

•Proficiency in non-linear, digital video editing (AVID, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere)

•Previous internship experience in a professional newsroom setting

•Familiarity with ABC News Programming

Additional Information :

Internship Eligibility

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program

  • Must be willing to relocate to the New York City area and provide your own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship

  • Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session

Program Dates

  • Must be available from January to April/May

  • Must be willing to work a minimum of 30 hours/week (at least 6 hours/day)
