Disney ABC Television Group Disney ABC Ad Sales Research Internship (NY) - Spring 2019 in New York, New York

The Disney ABC Ad Sales Research team provides consumer insights and marketplace learnings to help the Ad sales team drive revenue and partner with advertising/agency clients. Key areas include multiplatform performance insights and delivering consumer and advertising expertise across the overall Disney ABC Television Group, which includes ABC, Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior.

Responsibilities :

As the Disney ABC Ad Sales Research Intern, you will be responsible for creating a variety of reports and insights used by the research and sales teams, including weekly Nielsen and multiplatform ratings reports, advertiser intelligence reports and consumer insights summaries for select ad categories. You will also have the opportunity to participate in research team meetings, sales meetings and various presentations to internal clients. What’s more, you will gain proficiency in TV, digital, and social measurement tools.

Create weekly ratings reports and competitive sales highlights

Update sales materials with latest data and consumer insights

Deliver learnings from competitive network/sites

Respond directly to ad-hoc sales requests

Basic Qualifications :

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and/or Keynote

Highly analytical, detail oriented

Excellent communication skills, ability to tell story with numbers

Passionate about the entertainment industry and television programming

Familiar with social media platforms

Preferred Qualifications :

Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year or recent graduate

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Familiar with Disney ABC Programming

Major in communications, media studies, or other relevant major

Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

All students must possess unrestricted work authorization

All students must be at least 18 years old

You must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship

All candidates must be willing to work full-time 40 hours/week and must have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session

All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
