Disney ABC Television Group Director - Advanced Advertising in New York, New York

Disney ABC is seeking an exceptional candidate to create and on-board advanced ad products which leverage data and technology. This role will lead the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive product roadmap to advance Disney ABCs advanced ad capabilities. This individual will report to the VP, Advanced Advertising Solutions & Sales Operations with the Audience Solutions team. This role will work cross functionally with Sales Management, Technology and Research teams.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee advanced advertising solutions and work with internal and external partners in media planning, deal activation as well as optimization and attribution modeling.

  • Develop business case for new data driven opportunities by gathering, tracking, and sharing customer and team feedback on products

  • Develop strategies that include recommendations on targeting/segmentation, messaging, and channels

  • Create and test new advanced ad products with clients and partners

  • Track progress against strategic imperatives and tactical milestones throughout the product development, integration, and support phases

  • Be a subject matter expert in Disney ABC data assets, the 3rd party data ecosystem and the various processes and technologies that underpin data-driven advertising

  • Participate in the development of marketing strategies and materials

  • Work with the sales team to evaluate and propose audience targeting solutions for clients

  • Work with Technology and Sales Operations to develop audience targeted recommendations, analysis and reporting

  • Confidently present complex data-driven solutions to advertisers and agencies

  • Provide analysis and insight on new advanced advertising offerings via competitive intelligence and industry events

  • Represent Disney ABC at industry events and with trade associations on issues related to advanced advertising

Basic Qualifications :

  • At least 7 years’ experience working and leading programmatic and/or data-driven TV sales operations

  • Strong understanding of emerging data and technologies and how they can be leveraged to create new cross platform advertising solutions

  • Understanding of the TV ecosystem and inner workings (e.g., local broadcast, MVPDs, dMVPDs, ATSC3, etc.)

  • Expertise with common linear and digital data sets and practices: measurement data (e.g., Nielsen, set top box, ACR, etc.), other syndicated data (e.g., NBI, NCS, MRI, Simmons), survey data, social data, data onboarding, etc.

  • Understanding of programmatic solutions and technology providers for both digital and linear

  • Understanding of data, data collection and privacy

  • Understanding of media mix, attribution and ROI methodologies

  • Highly analytical candidate who can evaluate vendor solutions, implement new process and manage large-scale projects with various stakeholders

  • Excellent communication and writing skills

Required Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
