Disney ABC Television Group Associate Manager - Marketing (ABC News) in New York, New York

ABC News is seeking a data-driven, creative, and resourceful Associate Marketing Manager to join our growing team. This individual will directly report to the Director of Marketing and Multi-platform Growth and will support the Marketing department in the planning and execution of multi-faceted marketing initiatives and campaigns across consumer, trade, B2B and corporate.

This role will also report into the Revenue Partnerships team specifically working on Brand Integrations, assisting with brand marketing and campaign-level analytics.

Responsibilities : Consumer Marketing

  • Work lockstep with department Director to develop and execute cross-platform marketing campaigns to drive viewership across ABC News platforms including but not limited to ABC News Live, GMA Digital and FiveThirtyEight

  • Act as the main marketing and sales analytics lead with the ability to independently pull reports and insights across various data tools for consumer campaigns and partner initiatives

  • Liaise with agency and vendors to build and optimize effective content amplification strategies

  • Ensure regular promotion of ABC News Live across dMVPD platforms and other video services

  • Lead and move projects/campaigns forward from conception through to completion while managing project/campaign production calendars and ensuring proactive communication and adherence to key deadlines and deliverables

  • Effectively work with internal and external creative teams to produce compelling marketing materials, especially under tight deadlines

  • Program and manage house ad inventory on a suite of ABC News sites and apps and provide reporting accordingly

  • Create and/or optimize and maintain custom planning tools company-wide

  • Build creative briefs, Affiliate and Partnership pitches, and marketing decks

Partner Integration

  • Support both internal and external teams to execute new digital sales opportunities across all ABC News platforms including analyzing campaigns, creating one sheets and decks as needed

  • Coordinate with the ABC News social teams on distribution and promotional strategies for all branded content

  • Track execution of campaigns both on and off platform, including media buys and recap reporting

Basic Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience at an agency, media or entertainment company

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and pays close attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability interact with internal & external clients; team player

  • Solid MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Holds professional demeanor with excellent business etiquette

  • Shows strong interest in media, digital/social space and avid user of digital streaming products

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Marketing background a plus

  • Experience with working with Sales teams

  • Familiarity with Omniture and Freewheel

  • Proficiency in Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop and/or Illustrator) required

Required Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree required from accredited college
